Do I need to be present during the installation?
We do ask that someone is present for the installation.
How long does installation take?
Every installation is unique and has a number of variables that could affect the installation time, but
we aim to get combi boilers installed within 1 day, and for boiler conversions, 2 days
Will you dispose of my old boiler?
Yes! As long as it is safe to do so, on the day of installation, the engineer will remove your old boiler
and dispose of it. They will also remove any packaging that comes along with the new unit, making
sure to leave your home clean and tidy.
What do I need to do prior to my install?
As we will need access to the room where the boiler is situated, and any rooms with a radiator, we
kindly ask that these are accessible, and clean prior to our visit
Does Phoenix Gas and Heating offer a power flush?
We do offer power flushes, and highly recommend this service before installation so that any sludge
in the unit doesn’t damage the new system. We provide a free chemical flush with all boilers once
installed by one of our Gas Safe registered engineers
What is the difference between a Power Flush and a Chemical Flush?
Both a Power Flush and a Chemical Flush are designed to clean out central heating systems by
removing sludge, dirt, and debris from the pipework. A power flush flushes hot water and chemicals
at high pressure through the system. A chemical flush only uses chemicals, and relies on gravity and
a cleaning inhibitor to clean out the system and then refill it with water.
Will my install require scaffolding?
Each installation is unique, so we work on a case-by-case basis, but most installations that take place
above the first floor will require scaffolding.
Do I need to activate my warranty?
There is no need to activate your warranty, Phoenix Gas and Heating has it all covered! This is because if you were
to activate it yourself, you may miss out on the extended warranties that we offer
Who carries out my annual service?
Any Gas Safe engineer can carry out your annual service, and we will send you a reminder for your
annual boiler service via email or post.
What does my warranty cover?
The warranty covers the parts and labour to get your boiler up and running, and is covered by the
manufacturer, however the boiler must have been serviced annually. Please consult the
manufacturers Terms and Conditions to find out more information.
